Professorship (W2) Linguistics of German: Grammar and Subject Didactics

Profile of the professorship
You represent the field Linguistics of German: Grammar and Language Didactics in research and further develop this with (inter-)national visibility. In doing so, you participate in research networks and cooperations within and outside TU Dortmund University and are committed to promoting early career researchers. In teaching, you participate appropriately in various areas of German linguistics and in all relevant degree programs of the department (a.o. teacher training and Applied Linguistics).
Your qualifications
You will have obtained a doctorate with above-average success and have acquired a post-doctoral lecture qualification (Habilitation) or an equivalent qualification. You conduct research in the field of German grammar and have experience with functional approaches and empirical methods. You also have expertise in German language didactics (e.g. didactic research or publication of teaching plans). You will have demonstrated your research excellence in the field covered by the professorship through continuous (international) publications in recognized peer-reviewed venues, especially in recent years. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funds is also expected. Additionally, you will have the potential for teaching excellence. Social and leadership skills and the willingness to participate in academic self-administration will complete your profile. Moreover, the recruitment requirements in Sections 36 and 37 of the North Rhine-Westphalia Higher Education Act (Gesetz über die Hochschulen des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen, HG) apply.
